What is AEGEE-Eindhoven?

AEGEE-Eindhoven is the European student association of Eindhoven. We are open to students from all different kinds of studies and nationalities. As an association we organize numerous parties, borrels and other local activities. However, since we are a European association we also organize activities and trips throughout the entire continent, the whole year long! This way you do not only make friends in Eindhoven, but you build a network of friends throughout the whole of Europe!

Upcoming Events

We travel.

As one of the largest student associations in Europe, AEGEE offers people the opportunity to visit other locals in over 160 cities all over the continent. We often travel to other locals where the members get to show us around. This way, you get the experience from a student’s perspective.

Be part of a European Network

AEGEE is one of Europe’s biggest interdisciplinary student organisations, striving for a democratic, diverse and borderless Europe. As a non-governmental, politically independent, and non-profit organisation, AEGEE is open to students and young people from all faculties and disciplines. Founded in 1985 in Paris, today AEGEE has grown to a Network of 13 000 AEGEEans, present in 161 cities in 40 countries all over Europe. Through our activities, we empower students and young people in Europe to take an active role in society. We create a space for dialogue and learning opportunities as well as act as their representative towards decision-makers. AEGEE strengthens mutual understanding among young Europeans and brings Europe closer to young people.

Stories from our members

Olá! I’m Joanna, I’m Portuguese and I did my Erasmus internship at TU/e.
During my time in Eindhoven, AEGEE-Eindhoven played a big role in making my exchange experience truly unforgettable. It was the perfect way to meet new people and learn more about Dutch (and many other) cultures.
One of my favorite parts was the local Wednesday activities, always followed by cool hangouts at Hubble. It was the perfect way to end the day, surrounded by friendly, open-minded people. I made some amazing friendships that stayed with me even after my Erasmus semester was over.
After leaving Eindhoven, I still wanted to stay involved, so I joined the Exchange Committee. And the best part? I got to host an exchange in my home city, Porto! Having my AEGEE friends visit and getting to show them around was such a fun and meaningful experience.
If you’re thinking of joining AEGEE-Eindhoven, go for it! You’ll find more than just an association. You’ll find a real community.

Hi everyone!  I’m Stan and follow the bachelor Architecture, Urbanism, and Building Sciences at TU/e. At the start of my studies, I joined AEGEE. With two friends I knew from secondary school, we were walking at the intro market and came across AEGEE. The atmosphere and the people felt very welcoming and the association sounded exactly what we were searching for: a nice community in Eindhoven with both activities in Eindhoven, other cities in the Netherlands and travelling abroad. Therefore, the three of us directly joined.
Some of the things I liked the most in Eindhoven were the fun activities on wednesday evenings, such as the After-Intro BBQ and the European night with food and drinks from all over Europe, but also the tosti lunches were great!

Our first Exchange was to Antwerp. Even though Antwerp does not have an AEGEE local to meet, it was very fun with our group to visit the city and go out in the club underneath our hostel (and to wake up extra early next morning to go running).

Hoi! I’m Emre, and this September I’m starting my Bachelor’s in Economics and Business Economics in Nijmegen. So why am I writing this? Let’s rewind a bit.
A year ago , I joined AEGEE Eindhoven. At the time, I was studying Mechanical Engineering and hopping between student groups, not really sure where I fit.
Then I saw AEGEE, looked like a fun European travel club. So I signed up for a lasergaming event.
But I got lost. Wandered around campus for an hour, even crashed a random rooftop party. Just as I was giving up, I saw a guy (super friendly) setting up some obstacles. So I approached him, best decision ever.
That night felt like home.
Since then, AEGEE has given me amazing nights in the Common Room, trips to Hamburg and Porto, and friendships I’ll never forget.
Now I live in Nijmegen, but honestly, some people are worth the distance.
